Causes
Caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae. Persists in soil for 20+ years. Favoured by acidic, wet soils.

Treatment
No chemical cure. Remove all affected plants and roots. Lime soil to raise pH above 7.2.

Crop rotation (7+ years). Liming soil. Resistant varieties. Good drainage.
