Causes
Caused by Septoria fungal species, spreading via rain splash and overwintering in plant debris, favored by warm, humid weather and prolonged leaf wetness.

Remove and destroy infected lower leaves, avoid overhead watering, and apply a fungicide labeled for Septoria if the infection is spreading quickly.
