Ornithogalum thyrsoides is a tender bulbous plant producing tall spikes of white or cream star-shaped flowers with dark eyes and long vase life. Growing 2–3 feet tall, it blooms in late spring to early summer with flowers valued for cutting. In mild climates it flowers reliably outdoors; in colder regions it is best grown in containers or lifted for winter storage.
