Cleome, also called spider flower, is a tall annual with distinctive multi-petaled blooms in pink, white, or purple that resemble spiders perched on stems. It grows quickly to 3–4 feet tall and self-seeds readily in gardens, providing continuous blooms from summer to fall. The plant has a distinctive musky scent and attracts hummingbirds and butterflies.
