Heliotrope

Heliotropium arborescens

flower

Heliotrope is a tender perennial shrub grown as an annual in cooler climates, valued for its intensely fragrant, deep purple or lavender flower clusters. The dark green, heavily textured foliage provides excellent contrast to the blooms, which flower continuously from late spring through frost. It reaches 1–3 feet tall and is perfect for containers, borders, and fragrant gardens.
