Macedonian Scabious
Knautia macedonica
flowerAn elegant perennial with deep crimson, pin-cushion-like flower heads that bloom from mid-summer through fall, reaching 60–90 cm tall. Native to the Balkans, it is drought-tolerant and attracts bees and butterflies. The airy, delicate flowers are excellent for cutting and combine well with ornamental grasses.
