Pothos Cebu Blue

Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue'

houseplant

Pothos Cebu Blue is a stunning cultivar with elongated, silvery-blue-tinged heart-shaped leaves that develop a metallic sheen, especially in good light. This fast-growing vine is a distinct botanical variety (pinnatum rather than aureum) and benefits from climbing or trailing structures to display its natural vining growth. Cebu Blue is slightly more demanding than common Pothos varieties but remains relatively easy to care for.

Care Guide

light_mode
Light
Bright indirect light is important to maintain the blue-silver iridescence; moderate indirect light is acceptable but results in greener, less vibrant foliage. Provide as much bright light as possible without direct sun exposure.
water_drop
Water
Allow top 1-2 inches of soil to dry between waterings. Water when soil is dry to the touch; this variety prefers slightly more consistent moisture than other Pothos but still resents waterlogging. Reduce watering in winter.
compost
Soil
Well-draining potting soil with good aeration; use a blend of peat moss, perlite, and orchid bark or add extra perlite to standard houseplant soil to support healthy root development.
science
Fertiliser
Feed every 3-4 weeks during active growth (spring and summer) with balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength. Reduce fertilizing frequency in fall and winter.
thermometer
Temperature
Prefers warm conditions between 65-75°F (18-24°C). Sensitive to cold; avoid temperatures below 60°F (15°C) and cold drafts which inhibit growth and may cause leaf drop.
humidity_percentage
Humidity
Appreciates moderate to higher humidity (50-70%). Misting regularly supports vibrant foliage and overall plant health; consider a humidifier or pebble tray for optimal growth.
