A spiny, evergreen shrub producing bright yellow flowers that appear throughout the year, with peak blooming in spring. Ulex is extremely hardy and tolerates poor, acidic soils and coastal conditions exceptionally well. This vigorous grower can become invasive in suitable climates and is valued for wildlife habitat.
