How to Diagnose
Hold a white sheet of paper under a suspicious leaf and tap it — mites will fall off as tiny moving specks. Webbing on the undersides of leaves confirms spider mite presence.
Treatment
Increase humidity around the plant. Spray leaves thoroughly with water to dislodge mites, paying attention to undersides. Apply neem oil or insecticidal soap spray every 5–7 days for 3–4 weeks. For severe infestations, use a specific miticide.
Prevention
Maintain good humidity (above 50%). Mist leaves regularly in hot, dry weather. Avoid dust buildup on foliage. Inspect new plants carefully before introduction.
